During your first appointment, you can expect a comprehensive exam and cleaning, which will include:

  • A review of your dental health history with Dr. Rentz
  • A full series of x-rays
  • An evaluation of your jaw joints, soft tissues (gums) and teeth
  • An exam of the soft tissues to determine if you have developed or are at risk of developing gum disease
  • Removal of any build up on your teeth in order to prevent potential infections

Regularly scheduled professional cleanings are vital to maintaining your oral health. For your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete new patient forms. As an option to save time, you can also download the new patient forms from our website and bring the completed forms to your appointment. Bringing your completed forms to your dental appointment will save you about 10 minutes.
